Making a website in notepad Html tutorial one

I'm having trouble with my the file opening up as a web page. I save the it and add ".html" to the end of it and it continues to open up the text document. Any ideas of what I may be doing wrong?

@luigis9692 Yes, It should be saved as ".htm". With some operating systems ".html" will work, however most systems require ".htm"
