This is a Crystalens being removed and exchanged for a new lens about 2 weeks after origional cataract surgery. I expanded the incision to about 3.5-4.0mm and placed 2 sutures to close the incision for astigmatism control despite the fact that the wound was self sealing.. A snip in the center of the optic allows the lens to come out through a smaller incision with less effort. This lens was removed because it had some unexplained haze or streaky smears on it's surface that appeared to be affecting vision.
