The question is why should gay be on ballot for voters to decide? How about put women's rights on the ballot as well as civil rights along with disabilities right? Will they pass if it even happen?

  • I understand your point, but its a false analogy. If you're talking abt womens' and minorities' right to VOTE, then of course putting that on a ballot wldn't make sense (only men/whites voting) But you're not talking abt gay right to VOTE, you're talking right to MARRIAGE. Gay people can/do vote. So you can vote for your rights. You can make the point that gay is still minority so may still get a minority vote, but you'd need to use a different analogy for it to make sense.

  • RachelQZ,

Your comment is just silly stupid because by saying "fake analogy", that's the best joke I have ever heard, thanks for making my day! Obviously you don't understand my video, go figures.. my analogy is all about knowing the fact it will NOT pass. If we put women's right on the ballot, we know it will not pass! If we put civil rights on the ballot, we know it will NOT pass. So, therefore if we put gays on the ballot, it will NOT pass.

That's the whole point of analogy, get it?

  • RachelQZ,

So therefore the whole thing is that the majority shouldn't be making decisions on minorities' rights which I pointed that out as well. Again, I can't help it but laughing by "fake analogy".. you rock for making my day!

  • This is so wonderful! Gay is not a sin. That is a lie. The bible has a Greek word for male prostitute and it was translated into the English bible as homosexual which is not correct. God does not look down on loving and committed gay relationships.

    Anyways,

Does Connecticut have full marriage rights for gay couples? I thought it only had civil unions?

(Civil unions are not the same as real marriage rights.)

  • DarkAurora,

Yep, I am speaking of "marriage" so yes, all four states including CT legalized gay marriage, it have to do nothing with civil union which I am not interested in. I linked an article on my blog stating about these 4 states so far that have legalized gay marriage, possibly more coming up which we all know. :-)

  • SMManuhl,

You know what reflection mirror is ? That is what you are doing by calling everyone "evil" but really yourself is the true evil by bashing others, insulting them, discriminate and such which is full of negativity and hatred.

That is pure evil, evil means nothing but negativity so therefore you are evil, again.. talk about mirror reflection.

    Figures.

  • I have often voiced the same argument myself. The fact that people feel they should be able to decide the fates of others based upon their own narrow religious views speaks badly of our society. Of course all people deserve equal rights under the constitution. The right wing christians are trying to legislate gays out of existence, but it is an absurd endeavor. Their ridiculous views should be kept to themselves. They do not seem to understand that what they think is right is not shared by all.

  • excellent vlog. And I'm happy that we've upped that number to 6 (yay for NH and ME!)... hopefully we'll have more soon!

I agree that it should not be on the ballot, but for different reasons... because we should NEVER vote on civil rights. They shouldn't be subjected to a vote. Ever. The constitution is there in part to protect the minority groups from majority rule, so having rights decided by a popular vote is ridiculous.

  • Hey, I'm pickin' up what your throwin down, I agree with you...I'm just saying that it will be easily shot down by people who want to, so it cld be useful to pick a different analogy. I know it sounded condescending though, sorry and peace out :-)

  • Awesome vlog. Well we're getting there, slowly but surely.

    Peace.

  • This is why I have a lot of respect for you Geo. You are against civil unions but pro same-sex marriage. Civil unions are just a modern day form of "separate but equal".
