Afghan deaths in UN attack

In Afghanistan at least eight people have been killed in an attack on a United Nations compound.




The violence in Mazar-i-Sharif erupted as hundreds demonstrated over the burning of the Koran by a pastor in a United States church last month.




Afghan police fired into the air in a bid to disperse the protesters who were chanting, "Death to the USA, Death to Israel" as they gathered for Friday prayers.

@celebratingfantasy Al-Qaeda is primarily based in Afghanistan. That's why we are present within that country. If the UN and the U.S departed Afghanistan, all remnants of a strong central authority will cease. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda would emerge and have a safe haven to call home. We are not in Afghanistan for oil. We are in Afghanistan because of all the radical Muslims who threaten us by means of terrorism. Personally I believe we should kill 100 Afghans for every one of our soldiers killed
