Sgt. Adam Keliipaakaua nailed the final cedar bough to the Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapels highest point on June 17, 2009, marking the completion of the chapels framework at the Marine Corps Heritage Center in Quantico, VA. The addition of the Chapel in Semper Fidelis Memorial Park continues the expansion of the Marine Corps Heritage Center. Overlooking the National Museum of the Marine Corps, the park is situated on 23.2 acres of high ground and plays an in important part in the Museum visitors experience. As expansion continues, the park will grow to include a water feature commemorating the Corps nautical tradition, as well as an additional network of paths that will extend throughout the wooded grounds.
