Full Review: http://www.motorcycle.com/shoot-outs/2011-gentlemen-sportbike-shootout-90855....

Here are three ways to satisfy a thirst for a powerful sportbike without the pretzel-ed legs and sore wrists.

What started as a duel between the 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and 2011 Yamaha FZ1 morphed into a Mexican stand-off with the last-minute appearance of the 2011 Suzuki GSX1250FA. The Suzuki's arrival broadened the scope of what a gentlemen's sportbike can be by counterweighting some of the shortcomings of the other two bikes....

  • Guy is playing drums on the bikes. LOL

He also looks like John Henson from wipeout

  • LOL, sure didn't take much to turn some of these "gentlemen" into bantering school yard boys. Chill peeps and ride safe on your gentlemen bikes.

  • Flappy front end...NO THANK YOU!!! FZ1 rules once tuned & de-restricted for sure...track proven!

  • @opmike343 He's a retard. He doesn't realize that 1100hp per SI ton (ZX-10rish power) is way too freaking much.

  • i think i need like 10 motorcycles

  • I'm buying the FZ1 because I can get it for $2k...midrange might not be as good as others, but nothing fixes that like still having money in your pocket.

  • @DCNinja76 How often do you have the throttle pinned to the redline in first or second gear? Poser.

  • @DCNinja76

Don't be daft. The Z1000 is designed to have a more comfortable and upright riding position, a powerband more tuned for street conditions and not a racetrack, lower pegs, etc. The ZX-10 is a superb bike, but it was never designed to putt around at 50 mph in traffic. Sure, you can do that and there are many happy owners, but you're not using that bike anywhere close to what it was designed for and most at home at.

135hp underpowered? Maybe if you do track days 80% of the time.

  • this guy can eat my ass... my 07 fz1 chews up zx10r's and r1's daily, "underpower" lol... im packing 152 rwhp with very few mods, (i have dyno print out to prove it) underpower...what a douche...

  • Gentlemen's sportbikes. So I can have a 450lb Ninja 1000 with 135hp or a ZX10 that weighs under 400 and has almost 200hp.

If gentlemen's sportbike means overweight and underpowered, then I'll stick with my ZX10 and not be a gentleman.
