  • Is the glue toxic when dried? I plan on sealing a background in a terrarium with it so reptiles will come in contact with the hod podge

  • @DinoAGrado

You wouldn't be able to use it on the inside of the glass as it's a water based product so wouldn't be waterproof enough - it's water resistant though, and non toxic. You might want to try sealing it to the outside of the glass as that should be OK as long as it doesn't get soaked - hope that helps.

  • so it's kind of like PVA glue then?

  • @aishuz Sort of, and I have used PVA for basic applications like sealing, but since using Mod Podge I haven't used PVA except as a wood glue. I find Mod Podge is more consistent, gives a better finish and as it's available in different varieties, you can achieve more. You can also get an acid free version which is good for scrapbooking. It's down to personal choice, but I wouldn't use PVA just to save a few pennies when Mod Podge is the superior product.

  • the prduct i used was the gloss on a painted sourface with gesso as a base

  • @xxMyamxx Sorry, I wouldn't know how to remove it given that combination. Did you try a test area first? It might be worth recreating the application on an off cut and seeing how best to then remove it - contact Plaid directly (the manufacturer) for more technical advice.

  • Is it water resistant after dry . I really want to try this but it seems people are having problems with ink and things how long does it take to dry in a ventilated room

  • oh my god your calling it modge podge too....

  • I love Mod Podge.

  • can it stick paper to metal ? what kind is best for that

  • I love it

  • I love modge podge. It's a fantastic glue and sealant.

  • can u get a stain off of a fabric after u mod podge it?

  • @calicocrafts Well actually it wouldnt really make direct contact with water, it will be used in a humid tank, so it would really only be mist and not a solid amount of water. I picked it up at a crafts store today and the woman said it should stand the humidity.
