Uploaded using PS3(TM) This is a long sitting old Mercedes that was owned by my old schoolmate's family. after sitting 3 years it fired up like it was running just yesterday! Beautiful built cars! The second last "over-engineered" E-klass! :) Enjoy!

  • @SirLaQ so true! i dont like new cars after -96..

im putting up a slideshow video right now of my 240D! :) probably viewable in a few minutes or so..

  • @coolakiIlen007 Yes, thanks again :) Rust is/has been always big problem. But with my cousin we use to say that everything what in M-B is fault to others is feature to Mercedes-man ;) It's not perfect but it's very much closer to it than these new plastic so called cars :) And I like it!!

  • @SirLaQ yeah, id say rust is Mercedes biggest and almost only weak point.. :P yours is real nice though :)

  • @coolakiIlen007 Can't be sure but I'm afraid you'll discover some not-so-good treasures someday underneath the w124 :)

I'll have to fix some small rust too from my w124 on a next summer. It's sad that there is that f***ing rust which always ruins good cars :)

  • @SirLaQ haha yeah that wouldnt be fun.. :) and yes of course, grass is not a good ´´sitting ground´´ for a car since both my cars been stuck or sunk in the grass.. :P havent seen the undernieth of the 230, but since it sat in much higher grass im not sure its all in good condition, for ex the hole in the fuel pipe..

  • @coolakiIlen007 ...and btw I fitted remote control for the locks so I don't have to use keys on winter to get in. But of cause I use them to keep locks working if someday that remote stops working.

  • @coolakiIlen007 It's never good if car sits on a grass or some "soft ground". That is a problem why I don't wan't to get many cars. It would be shame to leave that other merc sitting with wet conditions and to get some rust while driving with another cause I don't have any garage. I try to wash my w124 once-a-month because of that salt and of course dust etc. I just washed my "dear" yesterday cause there is now only -1*c and now it's like a new again :)

  • @SirLaQ dont think they take too much damage sitting outside though, only when driven in salt its good to have it washed, but washing in the winter with no warm storage isnt good. :P i almost broke my key hole on the handle cus it froze after i washed it. but with some wb40 spray it went alright. :)

  • @coolakiIlen007 sounds good. I wish I could have warm place to fix and keep some old M-B's :)

  • @SirLaQ haha, yeah ive got a tiny garage in the basement so its always warm there :) not much space to fix the exterior very much, but my grandpa has. :) probably if he has some sparetime he might help me a bit with it. :)
