  • let's be nice. if diana m wasn't out there doing this who else would be? it makes for a strange but interesting accapella workout of one of grace's lesser known songs.

  • It IS a Grace song. From DRAGONFLY. So who doesn't know Grace's work.

Look it's understandable that a post-Grace JS would need to do "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit," you can forgive that, but to do one of Grace's quirkier album tracks--badly--seems pointless.

  • At least they are keeping these songs alive. NO ONE will ever replace Grace Slick but full marks to Diana for singing these obscure songs, they would dissapear otherwise. Personally i would rather hear JS sing these songs instead of wheeling out Somebody To Love and White Rabbit at every opportunity.

    Great work.

  • Had the pleasure of being there that night . Only a small theatre with no more than 150 people standing as an audience.

They started the evening with Wooden Ships, and I vividly remember this particular performance as her vocal just filled the small hall, and bounced off every beam and panel. Nobody spoke throughout it . Pure magical night .

    Thanks for posting . :-)

  • My friends would testify that I was the biggest Airplane/Starship fan in the world...but this? If this was a kareoke band I would say cool but to call yourself Jefferson Starship at this point...hang it up already...at least change the name or something.

  • Am I the only one who thinks this singer is mediocre?

  • OMGod. Do not descecrate a Grace Slick classic. All her songs were worth disscecting, but not like this. Bitch can't hold a candle.

  • Yep, she wrote the music. Some of the words are from her Budist martial arts teacher she was learning from at the timy, Byon Yu if you really want to nitpick but it's a essentially a Grace song and here it's being butchered by a woman who should be singing Burger King jingles.

  • Yes, it is a Grace song -- from the JS's "Dragonfly"

  • Not a Grace song sad to see people don't know Grace's work.
