PLEASE STOP LEAVING STUPID, REDONKULOUS COMMENTS. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG TO BEING OPEN TO OTHER CULTURES AS LONG YOU STAY TRUE TO YOUR ROOTS AS H.H. HAS BEEN SAYING. ALL WE WERE DOING WAS HAVING FUN AND ENTERTAINING NOT PURPOSELY TRYING TO DESTROY TIBETAN CULTURE. PLEASE THINK BEFORE COMMENTING, TIBETANS ARE QUICK TO CRITIZE ESPECIALLY ON FEMALES AS I HAVE NOTICED.

that me in the light pink sweater.and my hair hair keeps getting in the way....and lhakey in the dark..the first song is a korean song called "girls on top" by boa kwon..not that good of performance to me..after that is a tibetan khamshey dance called "so amo ri la"..enjoy..we are all tibetan teenage students from minnesota, who spend most of their weekends..and no schoool days learning tibetan dancing, singing, and instrument playing!

  • Saying in English, but not Tibetan.

    Dancing Hi pop.

Please, don't pretend to be Tibetan anymore

  • yes, to some extent what u have said is true. tibetan youth do tend to speak more english than tibetan. but what u dont understand is that dancing hip hop has no correlation to one's nationality/ethnicity. we are not "pertending" to be tibetans..we are tibetan. and thats the inexorable truth.

  • try to understand that tibetans in exile are forcced to assimilate into diferent cultures. personally, i was forced to speak english throughout my whole 13 years in ameria in school,, esp. when it came to talking to other tibetan classmates. yes, i do believe tibetan culture is slowly deteriorating.but there are programs and efforts being made by tibetans that are rewinding that. and it's not only in the usa but all over the world, inlcuding tibet.

  • hey guys where the the place....??and well u guys dance very well ....and do u guys love boa....

  • I agreed to learn other culture but at first you have to know your own identity and culture. Than you should learn others. Without knowing your own language and culture, you are not pure Tibetan. So don't call you self a Tibetan. You are not. Keep our Tibetan culture alive is the most important things. Don't you know that at least.

  • tibetan must uphold ones own old pure tradition ..............we have no time..time is running out..HH is 70+....THINK EVERYONE....we have to passdown out tradition to next generation.............!!

  • Watever ! People Chill. We need to assimilate, and learn about other culture. Stop with this Ethnocentrism. Nothing wrong with appreciating other culture or music as long as you know who you really are. Anycase i think our(tibetan)culture and traditions are not weak to be threaten by petty things.

  • first song is like bull shitting. brainless people lost yourself in free country. that s not suit on this stage, do that some where else what you can be other than yourself

  • For ur kind information joej2005, its not cutural genocide. the 1st dance is a tibetan youngers talents coz both the song and their dresses are western, n word cultural genocide tht means if they played a song in tib and dance or dress like western or chinese, then it calls cultural genocide. u will know well from the 2nd song tht dances n dresses in orginal tibetan coz tht is tibetan song. So think well before u type....

  • don't be so insulting... who are you to say this?
