  • Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with Nash pointing out these things. Sorry to interupt the Stills Love-fest, but I know people who have worked with him and he is a difficult guy. He was addicted to Coke for many years (which turns even the nicest people into jerks) and his alcoholism is well documented. Yeah, the guy is a supreme talent, but to show up for a rehearsal 4 hours late and wasted also makes unprofessional and shows how egotistical you are.

  • I believe Nash threatened to replace him as a guitar player not assault him.

  • Wow, I never knew about this program, great upload...

I love CSN's music as much as anyone, but three bigger pricks you could not ask for...

  • I like Croz in this - he's a man who's faced his own demons and is able to resist pointing a finger at other people.

  • Thanks so much for posting this series. In reading autobiographies, they have all done the sex/drugs/rock and roll. They have all come out of it being the shining stars they are. I just saw them & they still rock. When they're playing, you can almost taste the love & affection they have for each other. I will always love these guys & their music.

  • @shiftywayner Stephen Stills was 50% of the temperament of this group.

In recent years, he's had to deal with prostate cancer and a stroke that left him with a speech impediment. How much of that was related to drug use I've no idea.

  • Oh, I think Graham had a right to address the issue - the man was four hours late and in no condition to play. I doubt he knew that the reprimand was being recorded for posterity.

One must remember that he brought his hard-working Hollies sensibility to America with him and never lost it. If it weren't for Nash, the group would never have stayed together long enough to function.

  • I remeber this, great segment thx for posting

  • I think as outsiders none of us have a clue as to the dynamics of this band beyond of what we read or see. Stills is my favorite musician of the 3 but 4 hours late is unacceptable and Nash was right to give him shit for it. He was wrong for doing it on camera - if he knew it was on.

  • I couldn't agree more! Graham may think that HE'S the leader but NO ONE was, and Graham knows it. Yes, Graham's off-camera mistreatment of Stephen here(even threatening to ASSAULT him)should have landed Nash a couple of nights in JAIL! If you even THREATEN to strike someone that is ASSAULT in most parts of the US. Maybe a couple of nights in jail is exactly what Nash NEEDS to bring his temper and ego back into check!
