Speedpainting a Hydralisk

A quick digital painting of the Hydralisk from Starcraft! Gotta love that old, yet awesome game. :)

Programs used; Sketchbook Pro, Open Canvas 1.1, Photoshop cs3
Music: Starcraft Soundtrack - Terran 1
Time taken: Actual drawing/painting process: ~1hr

Awesome... :0 Hey, what program do you use to record these? I'm planning on recording my own someday..

I mostly use "AutoScreenRecorder 2.0".. Uh, it's a rather small and simple program.

I've also tried out Camtasia but it's such a heavy program that I can barely open a drawing program when I record with it. x)

Then I have Super webcam, but I haven't figured out if you can actually record your screen with it.

Hot damn Yoruko, that was awesome! Really cool to see your process :)

One part I"m confused about though is when you brightened the eyes/face- that was done in oC 1.1? How did you manage to do that so cleanly (since as far as I know) using a different layer wouldn't work snce anything you paint on it would come out darker. Just curious!

Heh, watching and recording drawing videos is much fun~ I recommend trying it out sometime. :D

Oh, I did use another layer on oC though. :) I just switched it to "add" instead of "multiply".
