On January 15, 2009, Capt. Chesley Sullenberg piloted a damaged Airbus A320 into New York City's Hudson River, saving the lives of everyone aboard. The plane's engines were damaged shortly after takeoff after being struck by several geese.
Capt. Sullenberger, along with US Airways crew and the air traffic controller who assisted in safely landing the disabled aircraft, testified before the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
In this video, Congressman Vernon J. Ehlers of Michigan's Third District asks Capt. Sullenberger what he thinks could be done to prevent similar accidents.
