A Small trip from kawerau to tauranga on the East coast main trunk, passing through areas such as Matata, Pongakawa, and Te puke. Including a 4 headed empty returning to kawerau.

Was the first minute near Pikowai, the Otamarukau side? My grandparents used to have a farm at Otakiri and remember watching them go by out their living room window en route to kawerau. It is abit of a forgotten line. It's been about 12 years since have been back in NZ and seeing your clip has brought back some great memories instantly.

cheers, seems a bit like the forgotten line of nz, just up until recently the trains have gotten massive. so might have a few more vids to post over the summer
