@Tonyp68 ... you are rite, i dunno why, but i remember that the manual says it was printed on 88! but i re-check and i was printed on 92! ... hahaha ... sorry to all of you!!!
@LittleEmoBoy001 ... well the build in sounds are 80s like (last of gr1 came out late 80's) so they may not sound very realistic, but it got midi out so you can connect it to any new synth or VST instrument ... so the answer is YES you can (if you think that a synth or vst-plugin/instrument nowdays can "create an authentic violin sound")!!! I will try to create something for you using the original sound and a some "free vst violin"
What a testement to this unit. I have had mine for well over a decade, and although others have come, this unit remains the synth that changed it all. This young man does a great job showing the strict synth/sample side of the unit. It is also wonderful to blend it with your GTR sound. I used a seperate 1000 watt amp, and Bose 802's in addition to the amp. using a seperate cable to my guitar rig. For big shows it needs its own sound system. It will track as fast as you can play clean.

@jorgerheredia Sorry dude, the first GR-1 came out in the early 90s. (i thought it was 91, but the manual is of 92).
But you are right that the sounds are very 80s.

Thank you for the wonderful demonstration. I am just getting into the world of MIDI Guitar and bought a used GR-1 w/GK2A pickup.
