Dean ran around the corner where the two girls had disappeared to.He could feel Sam close at his heels. Their clothes and a blonde wig were tossed in a garbage can, not having bothered to conceal them correctly. He noticed a homeless woman grabbing a pair of platform boots from the rubbish explaining the other girls sudden height.
"Where did they go?!" muttered Dean.
Sam looked around. "They must have turned the corner."
"Damnit, Sam I told you they were following us."

"Okay, fine, next time you tell me two random teenage girls who don't look anything like the ones from before are following us, I'll be believe you."

Dean looked at Sam for a moment, before saying "Just get in the car!"

Sami and Daine were still running.
"Warehouse!" Daine yelled at Sami.
"You kidding me?! Abandoned warehouses are vampire breeding grounds."
"Would you rather deal with vampires or with our very angry, very pissed off,out of the loop fathers?"
Sami stopped for a moment.
"Let's go into the warehouse."
Daine managed a snort.

Sam was doing what he did best. Research.
They weren't vetala or demons as far as their test showed. They had yet to rule out ghouls, but Sam had to admit that there was something strangely familiar about the girls, almost as if he had seen them somewhere before that day at the bar.
"Why do they look so damn familiar?" Dean said, voicing Sam's thoughts out loud.
"Well whatever they are, we need to find a way to contain them after we track them down. We need some answers Sammy."
"It's not like we have a lot to go on Dean. All we know about them is that they look like teenage girls and they don't respond to any of the usual tests."
"Anyway we can find them?"
"Best we can do is try and retrace their footsteps."
"Then let's go." Sam didn't have a chance to argue as Dean grabbed his jacket and headed outside. His brother was taking this very personally. He assumed it was because no one had gotten the better of him in a LONG time.
And it did not help his mood that two girls in costumes had been the the ones to do so.

"I hate warehouses." Sami said for the millionth time.
Daine stiffled a groan. Her normally fearless half-demon cousin had a bad experience involving a few vampires when she was eight and since then she was TERRIFIED of them. They were after all out of the dominion of hell.
Daine remembered growing up with Sami quite well. She hadn't noticed anything odd about their upbringing besides their parents never leaving them alone together. That is, until Daine figured out that hearing conversations of angels wasn't normal or that the scary things that went bump in the night seemed to worship her cousin. She had never been close to Anna, her birth mother and the only time Sami had seen Ruby was in hell when she was born. Sami swore that if she ever met her however, she would send her straight back.
"No vamps as far as I can tell. At least, not anymore." Sami relayed, pointing at the discarded bodies. The vetala demonically possessed humans for many reasons, including to feed. They were actually closer to being spirits than vampires. They were permanently stuck in limbo.
"I wish we could be home right now." Sami said softly. Daine silently agreed, but answered honestly.
"But it's not like things were so perfect there either huh? I mean, when we find our dads, they will probably be pretty pissed."
Sami sighed. She had noted Daine's use of the world when and not if. She was just like her dad that way, never willing to admit the possibility of defeat.
Daine turned to her.
"You miss him don't you?"
There was no need for her to ask who her cousin was referring to.
"Yes, I do. But either way..." Sami shook her head. "Forget it. Let's just try and come up with a plan alright?"
Daine didn't press the point and nodded as they made their way through the warehouse, thinking of the horrors still ahead of them.
