Khachkars are far from endangered in Armenia. They're everywhere, and they're abundant. This video misquotes the web site.

"Endangered Khachkars" refers to specific situations, not to as a widespread problem in Armenia. The term can be applied in a widespread sense when talking about Azerbaijan and Turkey.

However, I'd like to thank one part of this video.

I hope those idiots who vandalize our national heritage feel shame to allow an Azeri to point out their shameful actions.

Basically, the same thing that happens in all states. Idiots vandalize historical monuments everywhere, and there are idiots in Armenia, too you know?

The Armenian government, destroying some khachkars purposely is impossible. There is a law against damaging historical artifacts like khachkars. Armenia punishes those who they catch vandalizing.

Well, it's exactly what I was expecting from this video. I didn't learn anything.

@Arzive There are many laws in Armenia, but that doesnt mean people abide by them. There are laws against corruption and social welfare too, but none seem to be effective. The same applies to the heritage protection law. The khachkars were demolished in Yerevan by an oligarch official, to build his latest restaurant.
