So I wasn't planning on doing this in the story, but I kind of wanted Nick and Miley to have reasons for their names... :)

Part 0.6 |To Commemorate Nicole|

Carla bustled around the house, going from one corner to the next, picking up every single piece of dust she found. She had become a perfectionist over the past few months, and it was nearing the month of her due date. As she quickly walked along the hall she passed by the nursery she and her husband had helped make for their baby, causing her to stop walking. They painted the walls light blue and there was a mahogany brown baby crib next to the window. She walked into the room and smiled happily and rubbed her stomach a bit, feeling some kicking which caused her smile to grow much bigger. She sat down on the rocking chair in there and gazed around the room, taking in the baby-loving atmosphere. She sighed happily and heard the door open. Looking towards it, she saw her husband walk in and smile at her.
Jeffrey did the same happy sigh as Carla. "Only one more month..." he stated as he went over to Carla and kissed her forehead, taking her hand in his. "I'm really nervous." he finally admitted for the first time to anyone, "I don't know why... I just... I can't help but have the fear that he won't like me--"
Carla silenced him with a kiss. "You talk too much," she giggled out, "I hope our son doesn't have that trait..." She rubbed her stomach again and looked up at him curiously, "What do you think we should name him?"
Jeffrey sighed and kneeled next to her, "Honestly I don't know... I've been trying to think of names but, I just don't have any good ideas." He took her hand in his, "Have you had any ideas on what to name him?"
Carla bit her lip in and squeezed his hand, "Too many... At first I thought Alex would be a good name...but there are SO many Alex's." She laughed a bit as she continued, "But by far, I've settled down to three names: Andrew, Nicholas, and Timothy."
Jeffrey smiled at her, "Is there one you prefer the most?"
"Well...I like Timothy because we could call him Timmy." she giggled out. "I like Andrew because it's very traditional, and it sounds pretty smart..." she sighed and continued while tracing patterns on Jeffery's hand, "I like Nicholas because it reminds me of Christmas, my favorite time of the year...and...um...my sister was named Nicole..." She looked away sadly as Jeffrey rubbed her shoulder comfortingly.
"I know how much you miss her..." Jeffrey softly said. He recalled when he first heard about Carla's sister Nicole; he never got to meet her though. But Carla told him all about her one day...the anniversary of her death.
When Nicole was 18 and Carla was 16, she had gone to a concert with her friend Pamela. They were celebrating the end of high school, Nicole was going to Harvard and Pamela was going to Yale; they were both extremely dedicated to school and Nicole had been the Valedictorian. But after the concert was when everything went downhill for Nicole and her family and friends. While in the car with Pamela, a drunk driver hit them and they were both sent to the hospital, but only Pamela survived...
Coming back to reality after thinking about Nicole's story, Jeffrey rubbed Carla's back as she sobbed a bit. After the crying subsided, he looked at her and smiled softly while stating, "We should name him Nick, to commemorate Nicole..."
Carla smiled at him even though the thoughts of her sister were hurting her. She wrapped her arms around Jeffrey and kissed him softly before resting her head on his shoulder.
