  • Yo! Boring vid , where's information?

  • @HektorPedo On my other videos you have more then enough information :)

  • I checked my local Stihl dealer about getting my 85 converted to a loop handle set up. The loop handle, throttle cable, and on-off switch/throttle trigger grip would have been around $130 + tax. Couldn't see putting that in a ten year old machine. Bought the FS 70 RC-E for $275 + tax instead. It was really just an excuse to add another Stihl to my collection.

  • @Niteowler Yes the FS 70 seems like a real good machine, when I go to my local Stihl dealer, oh boy I see more then one machine I would like to add to my collection :) . But i think that would be to much FS 85 is more then enough around the yard and can tackle some tall grass, but for the comfort and the power in high grass would like to have a FS 450 or something like that, Husqvarnas are allso quite good machines.

  • I've had a FS 85 for about ten years now. I guess they all have the pinging sound when idling like yours. My handle bars aren't contoured like yours but I have found over the years that the handle bars are more of a hindrance than help. Now I find a loop handle easier to use but the handle bars are safer to use with a cutting tool. Mine can be hard to start if I haven't used it in a while but it has proven to be tough as nails!

  • @Niteowler Yes the pinging sound is specific :) , my neighbour has the little older one with the old type of handles, other then that it`s the same machine. I could use the loop handle my self in some hard to reach areas, but on the flat ground it is very handy, lots of vibration though, when I use it for 2 hours or more my hands get all shakey. Mine is 5 years old now, works hard in the summer, I`ve got a lot of grass to cut now. Thanks for the comment!

  • Yes it is very reliable I don`t know about the 4-mix engines, never used one, but for me 2-stroke engines are the best for these machines, they have put the 4-mix because of the new regulations, regards from Croatia! :)

  • a very reliable machine!! i had at my store some machines like yours, and they're so good not like new FS130-4Mix!!! regards from spain!
