This is an excerpt from the interview with Robert Lanza featured in the 3DVD set "Science and Nonduality Anthology Vol.2". In this clip Robert Lanza talks about the fundamental assumptions in science about space and time. http://www.scienceandnonduality.com/dvd_vol2.shtml
I would love someone with more background on his ideas to answer me this question. Regarding his concepts of an after-life in the sense of our consciousness, one would have to accept that this life is our very first, right?? Or does he imply we are reborn / recycled, which does not really seem like an after-life to me at all...I have I got it all wrong?

@str3ber Thank you for articulating this the way I wanted to.

the problem with claim that the probability of us existing is essentially zero and therefore we do not exist is shallow and flawed. What would we be saying if some other possibility occurred? The possibilities that the universe could have gone in are infinite. To claim that the existence of life as we know it is a fallacy because the probability of it is small is incredibly just plain stupid. I am, however, interested in his theories on time.

I just discovered Robert like an hour ago, and his theory on death is exactly what I've always believed. This guy has some interesting views and they're really understandable. Especially his theory on religion. Which all religion is just simple explanations for everything, created by simple-minded people who lived thousands of years ago. Hence the increasing amount of non-believers since science started to disprove a lot of religious theories.

1) Why does the double slit experiment produce a REAL interference pattern if the electron travels on a wave of pure probabilities,in other words NOT REAL actual positions? Experiments have been conducted that clearly show the REAL presence of one particle in several places at the same time.
2) If consciousness appeared in biological beings through darwinian evolution and if consciousness is the one who creates reality, who created the supposed reality of evolution before consciousness appeared?

I like how he called the duality of the quantum world with the macro world completely absurd. Relativity and quantum physics can theoretically agree if neither of them actually exist.

I like what Dr. Lanza says - it makes a lot of sense to me. I never really thought space and time were things like the ingredients you bake a cake with :)

Robert's straw man arguments here grossly misrepresent any authentic scientific worldview...which unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, undermines his own credibility to speak authoritatively about anything else.

This is Immanuel Kant’s idea!
