@RioSurfingGeorge nope, all other kinds of football use balls. A ball is a round, usually spherical but sometimes ovoid, object with various uses. It is used in ball games, where the play of the game follows the state of the ball as it is hit, kicked or thrown by players.

Football or "soccer" is the only sport in witch you can use any part of your body. if you say "what about your hands" the goalie uses them and you use them to throw in the ball. Soccer also is the only sport that involves using your head, both menatlly and physically.

you know whats a joke? Europeans who fall on their face at every possible moment to potentially get a free kick. USA players stay on their feet and fight for every inch. To say we got lucky by scoring 2 on BOTH of the top two teams in the world while holding spain (number one at the time) to 0 goals is ridiculous. You are a joke.
