@HiroSuen No Wesker was a name given to all the experiments of the Umbrella corp. The one that died in the first resident evil wasn't the same as the one later. The Wesker of the future was the strongest of all the lab rats used during the trials of the t- virus.

Not quite. There are different endings in Resident evil 1. You must have gotten one of the bad endings. The true ending is when wesker gets stabbed by the tyrant.
