The Silver Dart Replica was flown for the first time at Hamilton International Airport. I was privileged to have a vantage point beside the runway and made this video. On February 23rd 1909 the first powered flight in Canada took place at ALexander Graham Bell's property in Baddeck N.S. For more information about the flight and the group see http://www.silverdartreplica.com

  • Oh WOW! What an amazing accomplishment, can't wait to see it here in Baddeck! You really have got me excited now! Ice at 18" here, but above freezing tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed! (gr-gr-granddaughter of A G Bell)

  • Very cool

Looking at how far we have come in the past 100 years, one can only imagine what people will be flying 100 years from today.

    Kudos to everyone involved

  • Great shots of the historic flight. Congratulations to the team!!

  • Hey cool ! I hope our 1/7th scale replica flies as well. Anyone know where the C of G is on this? Cheers... Goose

  • Hey!! Thanks so much in getting the first video of this fantastic replica into the airwaves. Everyone involved should be royally commended on their excellent, voluntary work-of-art. Looks like she'll be ready for the Baddeck Bay centennial for sure. Thanks again!
