Sami yusuf playing drums, with an amazing kurdish duf musician at the Islamic Relief "Evening of Inspiration" concert in the manchester bridgewater hall 18/4/2006.
Just to clarify: The duf is an instrument traditionally used to accompany Islamic nasheeds. This does not make it an Islamic instrument by any means. Many scholars and shayukh approve of the use of drums, in particular, as was the case in this concert, to praise Allah, as a means of remembrance (and raising charity!). The duf is also traditionally used in many Eastern cultures.
Moreover, it's well cool.
