We bought Katey at a junker auction. The auctioneer said she was blind in one eye. I looked at the little mare and thought she had nice smooth gaits, was very obedient and for the price the bidding was at I couldn't lose. Turned out she was blind in both eyes but was one of the best investments I ever made. Also turned out she was a registered Quarter Horse. Blind Katey opened our eyes to good training in horses in so many ways. She was an excellent little mare. We took her on trail rides, Jami even showed her in a trail class and a reining class when Katey was 20 years old. Never write off a good horse! Her blindness was not a detriment. Katey passed away in 2010. We still miss her and we are thankful to have had the chance of owning her. If you like the video please take the time to vote for Katey.

Thank you for taking the time to post this! It's well done- and she truly seems to have been a one of a kind horse. It's fortunate she found a loving family to take her in and look past her blindness :)
This is a sensitive subject for me; I own 2 horses of my own with eyesight issues. Both couldn't be better horses. My old man is 24 now and completely night blind. My little mare is 18 and blind in one eye from a Uveitis attack.
I'm sorry for your loss, but wish you best of luck in the future!
