Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz were born only 60 miles apart in southern Germany.
In 1886, Carl Benz built a motorized tricycle. His first four-wheeler, the Victoria, was built in 1893. The first production car was the 1894 Benz Velo which participated in the first recorded car race, the Paris-Rouen race. In 1895, Benz built his first truck :)

@danders76 That is so true what ever anyone says i work in the car shuffling world at airports thats any car enthusiasts dream i can say when you step into a merc its just that different from any other car.

Really a mark of respect and tradition, few brands in the world can match with the history of mercedes-benz. Quality of offered usually simply incredible!

I have always had a very special interest and love for Mercedes Benz cars ever since I sat in a basic 180D Taxi in Dublin in the mid-late 1950s. I was a very young schoolboy at the time.
