I don't believe there would be any motive to forge the shroud,showing a faintly image, negative of a Roman stylized,first century,crucified man,and a Jewish,stylized, linen shroud,with middle eastern flower pollen embedded in the fabric of the shroud,it's real from a common sense point of view.
