Here's my 4 yr old Beagle doing his typical wheezing thing.
It happens every now and then and I just cover his nostrils and massage his throat to force him to swallow. That always solves it.

  • what's the name of the song in the background at the start?

  • @hairpin34 i have no idea what song that is. i think it was just some random song playing in the background from the xm radio. it kinda sounds like annie lenox though

  • LOL if you only watch up to 20 seconds it looks like she kills him. Sorry, had to mention it. Otherwise, thanks for this information though! I'm going to try it on my puggle because he does that pretty often.

you're welcome. Yeah, i know. it looks morbid, but this solution really works. Just try covering your dog's nostrils to force him/her to swallow. That'll stop the wheezing

  • the reverse sneezing is bad? my beagle hve the same thing

  • @manuelforever52 it's not bad. they all do it because of some flap they have on the back of their throat, u just gotta force the dog to swallow.

  • My dog does this and it scares the crap out of me. I've tried the nostril covering and it doesn't seem to help. She has allergies (pollen and grass) and when she starts I usually just give her a dose of steroids and it will eventually ease.

  • @hairpin34 the first song you hear is Jack Pinate's "Pull My Heart Away"

  • My dog just started doing this and it's freaking me out! :( I try your solution thanks!

  • looks like ur suffocating him.

  • You are so good with him. Mine is 14 and she still does that.

  • i also feel so much better! my Beagle is having a pretty bad episode tonight & I was starting to worry!

  • Thanks a lot, every time he had it , it scares the crap out of me T^T This is a big relief. I tried it , and it works so well

  • has your dog been tested for heartworm?this is a typical sign of heartworm infestaion!
