The Towers,is a popular folly nr.Lismore in Co.Waterford,Ireland, built during famine times,by a notorious landlord, Arthur Kiely Usher,at the age of about 59 years,as part of a major building project to please his young wife, who was jealous of her sisters property a few miles away.
However, the money ran out before her husband's plans for a huge new house could be realised.
Today this woodland estate forms a delighful circular nature trail, popular with tourists and locals alike and takes between 30 & 45 minutes to complete.
How interesting. I have never seen this, except from a distance. A friend took me by there.
