Steam in the Mountains - Volume 1

Here are highlights from four chapters on Volume 1 of the "Steam in the Mountains" DVD from Yard Goat Images.


Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad - we see four steam and one classic diesel performing on two visits. The first visit is a photo charter with log cars. On another day we see the 2011 NRHS passenger special featuring the world's only operating geared Willamette locomotive.

Steam at Conway - an October visit to Conway Scenic Railroad in New Hampshire, featuring Canadian National 7470 pulling both passenger and freight trains.

Durango & Silverton Photo Freight - scenes from a two-day 2005 charter with runbys in areas only accessible by train. (analog)

Black Hills Central - unique locomotive 110, an articulated 2-6-6-2T tank engine puts on a great show at this South Dakota railroad which features steep grades in beautiful surroundings.
