Last Night - New Colony Six Live

Outdoor, huge and magnificent bandshell setting for 8-16-08 performance in Bolingbrook, IL. Knowing that he would be in attendance, I convinced founding NC6er, Craig Kemp, to polish up his old parts and join us on stage as we played a tune written by his cousin and our founding bass player, Wally Kemp, namely, our garage classic, Last Night. Hear it like it should be heard - live, loud and kick ass! Shot from the crowd by Gale Rosenfeld and sent on to the band, we thank her for the chance to share this performance with you. It was at least 30 years since Craig and I played to a crowd and now you can say you were there when the magic was recreated and the two of us and the rest of the group were momentarily transported back to the '60s and our parents' garages... Park the Impala at the curb and put a tarp over the oil on the cement, the boys in the New Colony Six need to rock and roll!

This is not bad, though I never heard of them on old top 40 oldies radio, heard about them on the old clips of wgn, when I got curious to see the glory days of wgn just out of curiousity.

Ray...I agree with you 100%.- This vid proves that you and the rest of the New Colony crew can STILL kick major rear end 40+ years after you originally recorded this wild tune.- A superb "dead-on" performance with the incredible Craig Kemp once again handling the keys.

Of all the videos I've been sent or seen posted here or elsewhere, the audio and vid combo on Last Night, especially with Craig's presence, makes it one of, if not my very favorite...

Wow, this live version sounds exactly like the original 60s recording! This is one of my fave NC6 tunes and one of the best Garage Rock tunes ever!
