Hard to believe this song is 41 years old. I was only 14 years old when I used to listen to it but I remember feeling so touched by it, it's so beautiful.

I found a copy of Mark Lindsay's Silver Bird album at a Record show recently and the album version of "And the Grass.." is different - has a slightly different arrangement. Given the label above, I assume the version posted here is the 45 single release? - can someone verify this? Either way, I think Mark Lindsay has the definitive version.
