ProRail testte van 4 tot 7 juni 2012 de veiligheid en maximum snelheid van de nieuwe spoorlijn tussen Zwolle en Lelystad. Een speciale Duitse hogesnelheidstrein (ICE) ging 200 kilometer per uur over het nieuwe spoor rijden.

De Hanzelijn start 9 december 2012 en verbindt de Randstad met Noord- en Noordoost-Nederland.

    En wat wordt de maximum "dienst"snelheid straks? 140 m/u...nog steeds de jaren '1950 niet ontgroeid bij NS.
