King James Only Debate (This actually changed my mind on this subject)

James White debates Jack Moorman on whether the KJV is superior to modern translations due to the manuscripts used. As I said in the title, this debate was very informative and actually persuaded me to change my mind on the subject. I won't reveal my personal opinion so that you the viewer can decide for yourself based on the evidence that is presented. Glad to see a friendly, well presented debate on the subject to help educate God's people on such issues.

Just another FACT that White refuses to discuss is that his favourite manuscript the Vaticanus dosent even have ist and 2nd Timothy, titus, philemon, revelation and most of the book of Hebrews!

James White is such an apostate!, all through this debate is his belief that God is not behind the inspiration of the bible, because copyists errors get insinuated into the text, but he conveniently forgets the fact that God said he would preserve his very WORDS from error so that we can have them today with us

Dr Ruckman would have destroyed White in this debate, thats why White has refused to debate him to this day and why he always chooses men like Moorman instead

Aside from some visual issues later in the video, this is a great video! James White presents much more facts than Jack Moorman who seems to base most of his position upon his philosophical & theological position! Even the KJV has been revised! It is really quite simple, the words of Jesus & the NT are in common daily language, not some special religious speech! Forcing the Bible to support KJV Onlyism because of a desire for a "standard" in English isn't Biblical nor sound doctrine! :)

@mwilson70201 Thanks for the conversation. I know you understand how people get saved, but I'm growing very weary of people saying "I got 'em saved". Of course we are an essential part of the great commission. Here's my thinking on Ruckman. He is a mean, very mean spirited man. That kind of spirit does not come from a healthy & whole relationship with the Risen King. He shows a definite lack of the fruit of the spirit. I leave his salvation in God's hands. @SkiesVibrant There's no doubt Brother Ruckman is a bit rough around the edges. Of Course I know it's the Holy Ghost who convicts and converts, I speaking along the lines of James 5:17 and Romans 10:14 "How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" Our part is small yet it is God's way to use men in this great work. To God be the glory. While the world enjoys the holidays I hope you enjoy God's unspeakable gift. Jesus saves sinners. Amen.

@mwilson70201 Actually, if you go to White's site, you can see the actual copies of the correspondence Ruckman sent.  It was vile, rude & as usual full of invective. Ruckman never seriously meant to debate, he wanted a one-man show. BTW, and not to be contrary, Ruckman isn't capable of leading anyone to Christ. That's the job of the Holy Spirit. You cannot debate people who believe in 'advanced revelation'. It's not a Biblical concept, & has no basis in scripture or tradition.

@SkiesVibrant Besides I was just saying I would like to see Ruckman and White discuss the matter man to man. A crazy old man and his mind and faith in the word of God vs an articulate young man and his scholarship and computer on a subject both are conversant in. That would be something to see, don't you think? But White won't go to Pensacola, he's aware of the offer to pay his airfare put him up in a nice hotel and feed him but has opted out. Too bad, it would have been a great show.
