This machine was created by John Burke at Western Woodcarvers Products. Years of testing have produced a system which can quickly and easily put the finest edge on your tools. Knives, gouges, V-tools, whatever you use, all can be sharpened with ease on this tool sharpener. Two of the wheels are covered with 100 and 180 grit abrasive paper. The third wheel is covered with leather for honing. A buffing wheel on the end is useful for deburring the insides of V-tools and deep gouges.

  • i like it. think i'll build one!

  • "Here is the John Burke tool sharpener" - No Mate, there is the John Burke cobbled together attempt at a sharpener! No rest to maintain angle, no guard on belt, (don't wear loose clothing around that!) and if the camera height is the same as the height of your hands, far too high. Only thing you got right was it turns away from you!

  • checkout the homemade beltsanders too.

  • Pretty nice. What HP, rpm's, and rpm's at the wheels?

    Leonard

  • hi. the rpm ?

  • I like it...I'm looking around here for a video on how to manipulate all those goofy-edged carving tools on a wheel like this...lol
