Fish IV

My fishtank on 7/30/07. Paddles is still changing color, Chonk is ever bigger and it's FOOD TIME SO EVERYONE IS LIKE, OMG OMG OMG. Chonk also has a pattern of black dots on her face, healing from tiiiiny little "zits" that appeared in a symmetrical pattern across both her left and right cheeks. Not sure what happened, still watching this.. sounds bacterial :p they aren't tiny fuzzy like new wen growth is.

Actually, I was thinking that's what it was until I saw the other fish develop stars ALL OVER their gillplates... and then Chonk laid eggs all over the tank one day (which I discovered a bit too late, they had eaten all but three or so when I found out). Chonk was full of eggs for awhile... her tummy has gone back to fairly normal now, though. Lots of extra tank siphoning in the meantime :\

yes this is true...also on the front fins they develop i call little "zits" you can see them if you look closely and those are used for mating also...but yes you are right about the "zits" on the gills....your goldfish wants to get busy!!

i think chonk is a male then, because i think male tend to have some tiny white spot on their face when ready to breed wit a female. i think.
