Sol Surfers were formed in 2007 by Lynn Stokes to showcase recently penned original material. Spawning an intricate sound/vibe that is both melodic and ethereal, the album Terra Nocturne has won over fans worldwide. Sometimes compared to the music of Pink Floyd, this latest release has garnered a variety of awards including recognition by the Progressive Rock Hall of Fame, RadioIndys GrIndie Award, Academy of Texas Music Award for Artistic Excellence, Mike Pinders Song Wars' Top Ten.

Die Sol Surfers wurden im Jahre 2007 von Lynn Stokes gegründet. Alle Mitglieder der Gruppe verfügen über umfassende und professionelle musikalische Erfahrung. Lynn Stokes z.B. verbrachte seine Jugend in den 70-er Jahren in Austin/Texas und hatte dort die Möglichkeit, mit einer Vielzahl von außergewöhnlich guten Musikern zusammenzuarbeiten und zu experimentieren. Angefangen vom Cosmic Cowboy Country Sound bis zum Electric Blues Revival der Vaughn Brothers erlernte Lynn alle Musikstile und konzentrierte sich vor allem auf die Gitarre.
