  • can someone give me the contact info for this class....I want to go and be taught this from this guy and I cant find these people. HELP...HELP...HELP

  • sorry. Wasn't a paid class. It was just a backyard class out of his garage. Bay Area Riders Forum has Tygaboy projects posted & Thumpertalk has a DRZ some other guys posted.

  • can CF use polyester resin? and how can i eliminated pinholes?

  • Pinholes: Have you tried applying the resin slower in a "dabbing" motion instead of a painting motion? Some pple say applying a thicker coat of resin & sanding & polishing like you do to paint.

I think polyester resin is one of the resins that will yellow, right? That was the only thing I heard bad about the polyester. What do you other people think?

  • Does the whole process shows you how to make the mold? After that how do you make the actual part?

  • Thanks for watching the video. Yep, we ran out of time. If you have a mold, you can just use the same process: wax the mold, insert carbon fiber layers, wrap & vacuum bag the part.

  • My favorite instructional videos are the ones with great background music provided by an AM radio!

  • Who's the redhead :D

  • @NoOtherNameWasLeft can you not use a heat gun to eradicate the air bubbles when the resin is still wet?? also that guy with the red hair gives me the creeps!!

  • I'm trying to make a heat shield for my dirt bike, but I'm worried about the heat from the head pipe affecting the Epoxy. Do you have any suggestions? The only stuff I can find for High Temp application is usually black or grey in color, which would cover up the carbon fiber I would think, and needs to be baked in an oven for the curing process. Any help would be much appreciated. Thx

  • how long does it take to be good at doing carbon fiber?

  • Hey, everybody but the instructor: STFU!!!!!

  • thank you i have lean too

  • SV side panel!!!

    lol

i saw your thread on barf and i have been working with fiberglass for 2 years, and i'm going to try to make my own gas tank...

    thanks for sharing your knowledge.

  • awesome series! thanks
