Somethings aren't exactly opaque like our skin, jade, clouds and milk. Some light may go through the surface and randomly bounce back from under the surface. It just makes things more realistic instead of doll like. A brighther light might make it show more of the SSS.

got it by deleting the space. Thanks! Is SSS present in Maya, 3Dstudio and etc?
