1973 UK made movie based on a popular play. I believe this was called Nightmare in the UK and Voices here in the USA. Featured real life husband and wife - Gayle Hunnicut and David Hemmings. The couple loses their child while in their houseboat and are left to pick up the pieces later. They eventually go off to an old closed up vacation house owned by the wife's family. Once there, their characters turn incredibly dark towards each other while revealing more about what dark happenings have occurred since the loss of their son. The climax is a classic stunner which helps us understand the downturn of their characters but still leaves the viewer wondering even more about the things that were said in the old vacation house - and probably wanting to watch the movie one more time! from original and long out of print vhs.

It's interesting that this film was released in the same year as Nicolas Roeg's "Don't Look Now". Both have similar plot and are photographed in similar styles. I'd love to see "Voices" in its entirety at some point.

Do you happen to have the whole movie? I love David Hemmings and I've never seen this before. Thanks for posting.
