Atmest du nicht mit mir die süssen Düfte?
O wie so hold berauschen sie den Sinn!
Geheimnisvoll sie nahen durch die Lüfte,
fraglos geb' ihrem Zauber ich mich hin.
So ist der Zauber, der mich dir verbunden,
da als ich zuerst, du Süsse, dich ersah;
nicht deine Art ich brauchte zu erkunden,
dich sah mein Aug' - mein Herz begriff dich da.
Wie mir die Düfte hold den Sinn berücken,
nahn sie mir gleich aus rätselvoller Nacht:
So deine Reine musste mich entzücken,
traf ich dich auch in schwerer Schuld Verdacht.
