Humble Uker || Five Pounds of Possum (April 2011 on Baritone Ukulele)

This here's a video from the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz open mic night April 2011. I am singing a song that I liked hearing on YouTube, not for the "possum", but for the way he sings "sweet potaters." There's a country wholesomeness that I like about it. I have posted many videos of other players and now they can see where MY "Humble" comes from directly. Getting up on stage or behind a microphone is an uncomfortable experience so it always helps to play in front of a friendly and supportive crowd. I am playing a 60's Maxwell baritone ukulele.

@russbuss415 Hey Russ, This upcoming Thursday I plan to do another wacky song with some friends at the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz. I will be trying out a song that I learned from Lew Dite called Birmingham Daddy done by Gene Autry back in 1929. They open mic is very unforgiving no cutting & pasting. Jeff
