Until recently there was a video of Gilbert performing this on TV here on youtube. At the moment that video has disappeared and in my opinion there just HAS TO BE a decent video of this song ! This was a hit single in 1973 and also on his third album " I`m A Writer , Not A Fighter " . On the recent Greatest Hits compilation " The Berry Vest Of " this track was replaced by a disco-mix that some fans aren`t too keen on , but this is the original and BEST version ! WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY ON THE BIG SCREEN ! ( HQ )

This is actually the album version. The single edits-out the 2nd bridge, "Oh I wish that there was some way...."
Hmmm.... I may have to post the REAL 45 version.

Fantastic song from 1973! I just close my eyes, listen to the song and relive the memories I have when this song came out.

@wwwonderful Gilbert does perform concerts in the UK , Europe and Japan . He was in France a couple of years ago . You can find a link to his website on my youtube channel to keep up to date with his activities .
