I think they gave it their best shot, it's unfair to criticise how they play- as each band should put their own unique stamp on a piece rather than play it EXACTLY as written. All in all, a really enjoyable piece of music from some talented kids :)
I play the drums for this too and that drummer isn't playing what is written either.. I used to play the tuned percussion part too and they don't even have that in it :/ That's a lot more important than the timps or the tambourine :/
way to fast ruins it completely....

considering the average age of these kids.......13 upwards, i think it was pretty good (i was on barri sax on this one)

mmmmm too fast, Philip Sparke, on his site, programmed 7 minutes for Blue Rock. Too little dynamics: there are no pianos, all is played forte.
The musicians have a good tecnique, and fastness shows it but the final result is unfortunately very unexpressive.
