Krav Maga is Hebrew for "contact combat", "close combat" or "full contact". It is an hand to hand combat system developed in Israel that involves wrestling, grappling and striking techniques, mostly known for its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks, as it is also taught to elite special forces around the world.

It is a martial arts discipline using the human body as a weapon in an almost street fight type style. It can be practiced as both a fitness sport and self defense technique.

I read a story on the news about these 5 bedouin Arabs that attacked a former IDF officer who was trained in krav maga. 5 against 1, and ALL 5 of the guys ended up in the hospital with serious injuries. The officer walked away unharmed. He attributed his success to his military training in krav maga technique. It saved his life.

As a Jew here in England, I do Military Krav Maga. The videos on this channel is at Military stage not civilian and it is VERY hard, it may look easy but it involves 100% precision or you are screwed.

The club that I go to, I have a friend who is 14 years old, 90 kilos (from muscle) and the Krav Maga intructor who is short and thin takes him down.

In Krav Maga doesn't matter how strong or big you are, it is about technique.

THanks for sharing. The concept of dropping the elbow to create leverage is brilliant. My kung fu is not all that good, but i often find that krave maga has methods that are sensible to me u sually. Except for when they sacrifice their root to the ground to gain reach.. Anyway women ask me abou tthese situations often I will keep this in mind next time! have a great day
