I already exploded a capacitor :)

Now it's time to discharge them...
In this video I am discharging fast (by short circuit them) two high voltage (400V) capacitors.
Each capacitor is charged at 230Volts

  • so if i remove them from the circuit board i wont get shocked, unless i touch the terminals only right???

  • @arximidisxeno @Carterofmars in capacitors with a higher capacity it will damage the leads a bit. I did it a couple of times with one quite big capacitor, there were holes in the leads after a while. It's also wise to use eye protection, since sparks could fly in all directions.

  • a long time ago I used charge a 3 or 4uf cap and throw to my work mate asking him to put it away!!!!
