Mr Moto : Spydres

My Cover-Tribute to one of the greatest Surf Songs ever ...
Mr Moto, originally by The Bel Aires, performed in "The Spydres" tradition...actually, Mac and I were in our 1st band... "The Bondsmen", when we practiced this song !
But when the Beatles & Stones appeared on the music scene, we started growing our hair....and switched our preferences to rock and blues.The original recording by The Bel Aires did not incorporate a Bass line, instead, the rhythm guitar played full chords with bass string accentuation. In this cover, a Bassline has been written and performed for a broader sounding performance.

I have always loved "Surf Music"....Mr Moto started me down the "electric guitar" path....46 years ago...I am 63 now.

The " band" your hearing ( on the surf tunes _)is actually only me....playing all the instruments....the drums are "live samples" constructed from loops and assembled within my recording program. Other songs I have posted are live recordings from my old groups...consisting of up to 6 members. Still other songs are just two or three members contributing to make a production.

Although I do have a Strat.....I prefer a Fender American Deluxe Telecaster.

Really nice. Mr. Moto is probably my favorite surf tune and I dare say this might be my new favorite version of it. And I'm jealous of your Tascam.

I have an 82 strat and reverb tank and so into playing surf songs. Can't get enough of them. Is this a band you're playing or all pre-programmed materials like back tracks???? Just curious
