Does Qur'an 5:32 Forbid Killing? (A Response to CNN and Arsalan Iftikhar on the Fort Hood Massacre)

In a recent article, CNN's Arsalan Iftikhar used Qur'an 5:32 to show that Islam condemns the Fort Hood Massacre. However, Iftikhar massively distorts the verse and rips it completely out of context to achieve his objective. Putting the verse back in context proves that Islam promotes the sort of violence committed by Major Nidal Malik Hasan.
