I was retired from the US Air Force on 24 February 2010. This is my (nervous) speech. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2007 and cannot deploy anymore. Filmed at the Club on RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom

  • Sorry to hear about your illness but congrats on your promotion, retirement and all that you and your family have sacrificed for this country. When will you return to American soil?

  • @windyfields Thank you! We return on Sunday.

  • +1 for a good speech. -1 for creasing your ABUs. Then again, it seems like everyone E-7 or above in the career field feels the need to do so.

  • Are you going to get a disability check along with your retirement check?

  • Are you going to get a GS job? contracting position? My father retired because of a hip problem, and is now working up at molesworth as a contractor. best of luck

  • Thank you for your service Sir. Best wishes. Defensor Fortis.

  • Congratulations, and WELCOME HOME!

Thank you for your years of service for our country, and a special thanks to your family (great looking crew you have) for their sacrifice.

You know that God has his plan for you, although not what you saw as your future, His will won't be denied.

Your best days may be just ahead. Your true purpose may yet be fulfilled. The lives that we live, are not of our hand.

Best wishes to you and yours.

  • Hey Sergeant as an Air Force brat myself I grew up in Germany and Italy and I want to say thanks for your service. I've watched your other videos and disagree with most of what you say, but still respect the fact you say it and aren't a "youtube marine" (I'm in the corps and I think bla bla-even though you dont know rally if hes in the miltary).

My dad retired in 08 as a first sergeant as well but the circumstances were different. Its sad that you have to retire the way you are doing now...

  • Congrats on your accomplished retirement. I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis, especially if it ended your career prematurely in your opinion. thank you for your service and hope to see our youtube video continue!
