During the 20th Anniversary Mission of Operation Smile to Vietnam, 16 different sites provided free cleft palate and lip surgery to children and young adults so we could change 838 lives. I was given the amazing opportunity to participate as a student volunteer at the medical mission site in Vinh Long, Vietnam. I witnessed the transformation of 83 lives through these surgeries.
